Beauty Care - What Is Sweat?

Sweat is bodys natural defense to maintain the body temperature. Sweat normally contains water, and very small amounts of salt, urea, sugar and ammonia. By sweating body cools itself of the heat that may get generated because of outside temperature, physical work, and emotional stress. Some diseases can also cause sweating. For that you should consult your doctor.

Over and under sweating- some of us may suffer from over sweating (hyperhidrosis) or very less or no sweating (anhidrosis). Very low sweating may be life threatening, while over sweating may sometimes be caused by some severe body problems.

Types of sweat- our body has two types of sweat glands- eccrine sweat glands and apocrine sweat glands. Eccrine glands are distributed all over the body. Apocrine sweat glands are located on the scalp, armpits and the genital area. These glands do not produce much fluid. Sweat is generally odorless. Most of the times, it is the bacterial disintegration of sweat of both the types that produces odor.

To avoid odor because of sweat, the best method is to keep skin dry. Good hygiene will not allow bacteria to develop and multiply. Change of clothes after sweating is another method, because clothes carry sweat and can cause odor. If you have excessive sweat or are getting troubled by sweat, please consult your doctor who may suggest different methods that may include use of antiperspirants, botox injection, Iontophoresis and in rare cases surgery.

Sweat is not a big problem for most of us. It is the odor that is the bigger irritant. Keep your body clean at all the times and take basic care and you will find most of the problems disappearing. Deodorants do not reduce sweat but only mask the odor with fragrance. the need is  not to mask but to stop bacterial disintegration of sweat and if sweat is excessive, to consult doctor and get treated.

Avoiding Anti-Aging Scams

Despite what you may think, the unsightly signs of aging don't play favorites. With every coming day your skin sheds more and more signs of aging. The older you become, the more your skin looses its radiance and firmness, and thus nears its approach towards fine lines and wrinkles. These are the horrible signs of aging.

One of the biggest fears amongst the human population is the loss of youth. Many individuals attempt to evade this natural phenomenon by utilizing the plethora of cosmetic products currently available. Signs of aging will appear despite any futile attempts to wage war with mother nature. However, one can do several things to delay the onset of aging skin by taking proper care of his/her skin.

Most of us are more than ready to spend massive amounts of money to keep ourselves looking young. Realizing the large interest in anti-aging products, thousands of companies have staked their claim in the cosmetics industry, making numerous anti-aging creams which satisfy the obsessions of everyday people, who believe their skin is developing new wrinkles by the day. These companies have large streams of cash flowing their way by the day. Many of the "miracle products" which these companies manufacture promise to completely eradicate signs of aging. Unfortunately, many consumers are left to find that the majority of these claims are false.

Knowing this, consumers should take care to conduct the proper amount of research before buying a specific anti-aging product. We recommend scouring the internet for any product reviews which you can get your hands on. Also, be sure to ask friends any family for any recommendations they may have.

Hysterectomy and the Recovery Time

If you are a woman considering a hysterectomy, then you obviously are looking for all of the particulars. Something every women has to consider is recovery time.  There is a healing time that will have to be bared, and here is a little about it.

As women, we play out advantages whenever we can. Recovering from a hysterectomy will take some time and TLC, but it really isn't as bad as the physicians and patients who have had one years ago, would make it seem. Medical practices have improved, and the recovery involves minimal problems.

The recovery time does vary from woman to woman, and from procedure to procedure. An abdominal hysterectomy is a lot like a c-section. After c-sections, women find that they are in some pain and cannot move about like they would like to. You are likely to need pain medication for the first 2 day, and for as long as 2 weeks after the procedure. You also might have to endure a couple of nights in a hospital before they will send you home to recover. Laparoscopic hysterectomies are not as painful, and the recovery is not as difficult as an abdominal hysterectomy. Women who have the laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy discover an easy recovery time and often return to work within 5 days. In a nut shell, women who receive the LSH (laparoscopic hysterectomy) will have an easier time recovering than women who receive the abdominal hysterectomy, which is a very invasive surgery. Again, this all depends on the surgery, and if any complications arise.

It is important to remember that you can make the recovery process much easier on yourself, you must help yourself. Drink lots of fluids and start moving around as much as possible. Plan for a speedy recovery, and try to get on you feet as quickly as possible. You will feel better about returning to normal activities. Once you realize that you can do normal, everyday activities without the problems you experienced before your surgery, you will be happy you had it.

How To Make Your Own Body Scrubs

Body scrubs can turn your standard morning shower into an invigorating and rejuvenating spa experience. An exfoliating body scrub cleanses your skin while gently buffing away dead skin cells to reveal a radiant new layer of young, smooth skin. Most body scrubs are made of small, rough grains suspended in moisturizing, gentle bases. The grains, which are sometimes salt or sugar crystals, flecks of walnut, or even sand, exfoliate your skin by helping to loosen dead skin cells so that they can be rinsed away. The base helps care for the live skin cells left behind by providing a gentle, protective layer of moisture that will help your skin glow with health and beauty.

Body scrubs are traditionally a luxury item, and are priced accordingly. Designer body scrubs can cost upwards of twenty dollars for a few ounces. Homemade body scrubs are inexpensive and easily made out of all natural ingredients. Because you don’t need to worry about keeping a body scrub fresh if you plan to use it right after you make it, your scrubs can be pure and gentle without any of the potentially damaging chemicals or preservatives that are found in many commercial scrubs. For a pampering and soothing bath time treat that will give your skin a radiantly fresh look for just a few dollars, try making your own body scrub.

To make a scrub, all you need to do is to pair a naturally abrasive ingredient with a soothing and moisturizing base. The most popular and practical abrasive for homemade body scrubs is sugar. Sugar’s small grains and ability to melt easily make it the least damaging abrasive, so you can be sure that your sugar based body scrub will help your skin rather than harm it.

To make a gentle base for your invigorating and exfoliating sugar, start with your favorite fruit. Strawberries, mangos, and bananas are three classic body scrub ingredients that will soothe and protect your skin. For every two cups of thoroughly mashed fruit, add a tablespoon of sugar. For extra soothing power, add a tablespoon of rich honey which will give your skin a luxurious shine.

For the best results, apply your homemade body scrub in the shower after gently cleansing your skin. Use a circular motion to buff away dead skin cells, and pay extra attention to rough areas like elbows and knees. Allow your scrub to linger on your skin for three to four minutes so that your skin can absorb the nutrients from the fruit, and then rinse away your homemade scrub in lukewarm water. Pat your skin dry gently to seal the moisture into your newly revealed fresh layer of glowing skin.

Common Pregnancy Complications

Complication during pregnancy is more common than most people think. Even for those who are healthy and have had children before, early pregnancy complications could arise, at no fault to anyone. This article explains some of these complications and what to watch out for.

Early pregnancy complications

When you find you are pregnant, the first thing you must do is go see your obstetrician/gynecologist. They will perform an ultrasound to make sure that your pregnancy is advancing as it should. Regular visits to your OBGYN will prevent early pregnancy complications or at the very least, help identify them at an early stage. The two most common pregnancy complications are:

Ectopic pregnancies

Ectopic pregnancies are one of the most common early complications. Ectopic pregnancies refer to pregnancies in which the egg is fertilized outside the womb so the fetus begins to develop in the ovary or in the fallopian tube. This can be very dangerous not only for the fetus but also for the mother. If surgery is not performed, the tubes could burst and result in internal bleeding and in some cases, even death.

Miscarriages

Complication during pregnancy can lead to miscarriages, another common early pregnancy complication. Sometimes the cervix can open causing heavy bleeding with intense cramping pains. Other times, the baby can die in early pregnancy. When this happens, the mother can either wait for a miscarriage to occur or have a D&C. There are many different complications during pregnancy that can cause this to happen: blood clotting, infection, structural problems, or lifestyle choices such as smoking, alcohol or high caffeine intake.

High risk pregnancy

A pregnancy that is categorized as high risk is one which has a higher chance of complications arising. You may be considered high risk if you are carrying multiple babies, have a long term illness such as diabetes, or are over the age of 35. If you are high risk, you may be asked to visit your obstetrician more regularly as the pregnancy will need to be more closely monitored than usual.

Pregnancy over 35

It is not uncommon for a woman’s fertility to be affected over the age of 30 and once you are pregnant, you must be aware that it is more common for complications to arise. The chances of your child bearing birth defects are significantly higher than those women who are under 30 and miscarriages also become more common in the first trimester of older pregnant women. For those over 35, there will also be an increased risk of diabetes and high blood pressure. Don’t worry, as with today’s technology, almost all these complications can be treated as long as they are spotted early on.

Multiple pregnancies

A multiple pregnancy is one in which there are two or more fetuses. It’s considered to be high risk because with more than one fetus, it has a higher chance of developing complications. Almost half of twins that are born are premature with extremely low birth weights and underdeveloped organs. This makes them very vulnerable and it is not uncommon for only one twin to survive. Twins who share a placenta could result in high amounts of amniotic fluids.

It is important to keep this information regarding early pregnancy complications in mind during pregnancy and to regularly consult your doctor.

Controversial Implants Approved

On July twenty-eight 2005, the FDA ended a 13 year ban on silicone-gel breast implants and issued a letter of approval to Mentor Corp allowing the reintroduction of these controversial implants into the medical marketplace. This move came about as Mentor Corp. persuaded the FDA that its newer silicone implants are less dangerous and even more durable than older versions. The company will employ these implants only under the following strict safety conditions approved per FDA guidlines.

- Prospective patients must sign a consent form acknowledging that they realise the risks of a silicone breast implant including the fact that they may break and require replacement or even removal.

- Mentor is only allowed to sell silicone breast implants to board-certified plastic surgeons who complete a successful practical training program to learn how to insert these implants in a way that minimizes the odds of tears and breakage.

- Mentor must make and maintain a registry to track the implant patients long term results.

- Patients must be educated about the fact that if an implant breaks, the effect of the breakage occasionally does not cause immediate symptoms. Further, patients are advised to have an MRI after five years and two years thereafter to check for breakage.

- Mentor must conduct a 10 year study to determine the percentage of breast implants that will break in that time.

- The implant study must be audited by an independent committee.

- The FDA will review the results of the Mentor breast implant program in five years to verify that the implants are performing as expected.

Based on data from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 334,052 breast augmentations were performed in the United States in 2004, mostly using salt water filled implants being sold without restriction. Consumer studies predict that if the silicone breast implants return to the market, 200,000 women will visit plastic surgeons to get them in the first year. Health concerns aside, silicone implants have a more "natural" appearance and consistency than the saline version, and are therefore preferred by consumers.

Silicone-gel breast implants were first introduced in 1962 and were banned in 1992 amid health fears. Research since then has shown no statistical correlation between silicone breast implants and cancer or even rare auto-immune diseases such as lupus. A select few women will swear that their health deteriorated from the moment they received their implants, however this is anecdotal evidence. When researchers do studies comparing a large group of women with implants to an equal-sized group without them, no difference between the 2 groups is observed in the number of women with tumors or autoimmune diseases.

The most commom problem reported is formation of excess scar tissue around the breast implant due to a foreign-body reaction. If it's localized, it can cause traction and rippling effects in the appearance of the implant. If the scar tissue entirely encircles the implant the condition is called capsular contraction. These scars can mold the implant into an unnatural rounded shape, so that the implant patient appears to have a baseball stuck under the skin on her chest. This condition develops more frequently with smooth-walled silicone implants, though it occurs to a lesser extent with saline implants as well. Implants set behind the chest muscle have a much lower incidence of this problem. As the scar tissue tends to re-form, surgeons can every now and again break the scar tissue manually. However this is proscribed by the manufacturer, as it can break the implant and void the manufacturer's warranty. Typically, patients with breast implant contractures require follow-up surgery.

Surprisingly , the asthma drug Accolate has proven useful in preventing and even reversing capsular contraction, though months of drug treatment may be necessary.

Other possible complications include seroma (a collection of serous fluid), hematoma (blood), synmastia (breasts that pop up to be fused in the center), bottoming out (implant slides too far down the chest), double-fold ( the implant's outline doesn't corresspond to the natural crease of the breast), deflation (the implant breaks), tissue necrosis (localized demise of tissue) and infection.

Types of orgasm

There are three basic types of orgasm for women. Most women can reach orgasm through stimulation of the clitoris with the fingers, oral sex or vibrator.

A vaginal orgasm involving the uterus and reproductive system can be achieved by stimulating the G-spot. The G-spot is a spongy mass of tissue that swells when stimulated. It's still elusive to a lot of women, but it can be found a couple of inches inside the vagina on the front wall. G-spot stimulation can produce a more intense, deep orgasm.

Blended orgasms are a combination of clitoral and G-spot stimulation. These can produce some of the most powerful orgasms, often accompanied by female ejaculation.

Multiple orgasms are a series of orgasms that happen over a short period of time and they can happen with any type of orgasm. After the first climax a woman can have sequential multiples where she stops for a brief period and then stimulation is continued, or she could have serial multiples, where there is no interruption in arousal.

A simultaneous orgasm is when a couple orgasm at the same time. This can be a wonderful experience, though probably not something you should aim to do every time you make love, half the fun of orgasm is watching your partner have one.

The brain is the biggest sex organ, and because of this, some people are able to reach climax without genital stimulation. Spontaneous orgasm or extragenital orgasm is when a woman has erotic thoughts and fantasies until she reaches orgasm.

Nocturnal orgasms or wet dreams are another type induced by the brain while sleeping.

An extended orgasm is a single orgasm that maintains the pleasurable sensations of climax over a period of time. The length of the orgasm can be built up over time and can last an hour or more.

Expanded orgasm is a path of expanding both sensual awareness and consciousness while receiving genital stimulation. It is felt in the body, mind, emotions, and spirit, all at once. The goal (and focus) of receiving expanded orgasm is simply to feel as much of that pleasure as possible.

The Nose has Eyes Too

There are 6 things that your scent should do for you, when it comes to a man.

1. Make a statement about you: This is important when
picking a cologne or perfume. You can usually tell by the
name. Your cologne talks to him. It might say, " The lady is sweet and of a gentle heart." or it my say, "She is a Tiger.  Can you handle it?", and it could even leave him in mystery.  When a man has questions about you he begins to seek for answers. This is where the fun begins. He does cute things like mention the husband or boyfriend you don't have, to find out if you are single without asking, "Are you single?"  Let him have that one for free. Let him be creative to get the rest of his questions the answered. See yourself as a treasure chest. He is a great explorer (or my favorite the handsome bad-boy pirate).

2. Leave an impression on him: You are branding yourself in his mind, as scent is the closest thing tide to memory. He will associate your fragrance with your face, your
personality and your grace. He will carry that memory in the same place in his mind where he carries his favorite food and that is a good place to be in his mind.

3. Linger after you are gone: You can leave your scent on
his cloths, furniture and pillows. This is important. This is
like leaving a remnant of your presence with him. This will
cause him to slip into a day dream involving you. Every time he is near that chair or pillow (even after the fragrance has faded into nothing) he will think of you. Pretty soon just being in the room will make him think of you. You will never know this. He will never tell you, but it is true. The same thing happens to us women when a man smells good. Smell is an invisible charmer.

4. Keep his attention on you: You know the phrase, "All eyes on you". His eyes will follow you to know end when ever you are near. He'll find himself following you around while trying to keep his cool. He'll be talking to someone and loose his train of thought when you pass by and suddenly you will be the most important thing in the room. He'll more than notice you; he'll want to know you. If you've got the attitude to go with your fragrance, he will want you.

5. Replay you in his mind: He can't stop thinking about
little things you did around him like your laugh, your walk.
Even the goofy stuff you don't think is cute, he'll fine so
cute. He will connect to you and not even really know why. Then the rest is up to you.

6. Make him thirst for you: He'll go out of his way to see
you. When a man smells something good, he usually wants to eat it. So let him eat the flavor of you up.

Problems with menstruation

Some women face abnormal periods that usually stop for 6 months or more are said to have amenorrhea or the absence of menstruation which is also known as secondary amenorrhea. Here it is worth to mention that girls who don’t menstruate by the age of 16 have primary amenorrhea.

Secondary amenorrhea does not include minor lateness of a period and in case of some women, menstrual cycles of 5-6 weeks are quite normal. Stress is also a considerable factor and at times when you worry that you are or not pregnant also leads your period to be late by a week or two.

Severe emotional and physical stress or mental health problems could even cause the periods to delay or stop for a long time. Amenorrhea at a higher stage also leads to problems with the hormones that regulate menstruation. The glands that produce hormones affecting menstruation include the pituitary gland at the base of the brain, the adrenal glands on the top of the kidneys, the thyroid gland in the neck and the ovaries.

It can take a period from 6 months to a year for normal periods to resume after a woman stops taking birth control pills because the pill blocks certain hormones involved in menstruation and it can also take long for those hormones to return to normal which are involved in menstruation. Menstruation also stops during pregnancy. In case of some women, menstruation either stops or never stops because their ovaries don’t respond properly to those hormones that trigger the release of an egg. These women are also unable to ovulate on their own and therefore menstruation is not possible without ovulation. Some women do not even produce enough estrogen hormones to ovulate. Other reasons of amenorrhea are ovarian cysts and obstructions or other problems in the reproductive tract.

Other factors that could cause menstruation to stop includes excessive exercise, obesity, poor nutrition, diabetes, chronic illness, tuberculosis, medications including birth control pills, narcotics, major tranquilizers and cancer chemotherapy drugs.

In some rare cases of primary amenorrhea, there is no opening in the hymen through which the blood flows and about one third of girls with primary amenorrhea have a genetic disorder or problem with their reproductive tract.

Menopause and Anger

During Perimenopause, in the transitional period before menopause, women experience a number of emotional problems and mood swings, including anger, in addition to physical changes. According to experts, perimenopause does not cause anger and other mood swings, but fluctuations in hormone production during perimenopause trigger anger, depression and other mood swings that are already pre-existing.

Many women, at a slightest provocation, would have waves of intense emotions, such as anger go through them. Many would be intolerant of behaviors that transgressed their own limits, and limits of others. Some women would be focused on their sense of outrage and anger, and would intervene, frequently on behalf of others.

Simple changes in your life style can lessen stresses, such as, anger and other mood swings, during the period leading to menopause. Following an exercise regimen is one good way of reducing anger during menopause. Exercise, a great stress-reliever has antidepressant and anxiolytic (anxiety relieving) effects.  Regular exercisers typically have fewer mental and physical health problems, and brisk walks three times a week will help you during Perimenopause to reduce the severity of anger and other mood swings.

Exercising also stimulates endorphins, hormones that reduce the sensation of pain and affect emotions, such as anger, and boosts Serotonin levels. Serotonin regulates cyclic body processes. In addition, exercise helps you sleep better, and controls weight gain, which is normally associated with perimenopause and menopause. It is far better to take out your pent up emotions and anger on the jogging/walking track and the gym equipments, than on your family, friends and colleagues!

If you have a medical condition, consult your doctor before deciding on an exercise regimen. It would normally take several weeks, as much as four months, before you will see improvements in your mood swings and anger.

Effect of Diet on Anger During Menopause
For women in perimenopause and menopause, diet has a great effect on the emotional aspects, such as anger. Diets rich in protein and especially Omega-3 fatty acids, reduced intake of sugar, caffeine and carbohydrates, etc, should be highly preferred. Salmon, tuna, and other cold-water fish and flaxseed oil are the sources of Omega-3 fatty acids.

To overcome anger and other anxiety and mood swings; women in perimenopause and menopause should supplement their diet with:

· Amino acid tryptophan - a natural relaxant that reduces anxiety and depression by increasing serotonin levels.
· Gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) - It works as a natural tranquilizer.
· DLPA (D, L-phenylalanine) - It bolsters mood-elevating chemicals in the brain and blocks a nervous system enzyme that amplifies pain signals. It is a more effective pain reliever in combination with GABA.
· Tyrosene - It is a natural stimulant and very appropriate to get rid of mood swings.

In comparison to pre-menopausal women, women during perimenopause and menopause have a double risk of experiencing anger, depression and other mood swings. It has been found that, it makes no difference to the above experiences whether you are taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) or not.

Fertility And Your Fertile Soil

So just what are the ingredients for the fertile soil in a woman’s body that supports healthy pregnancy and birth? This is an important question for a woman trying to conceive. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has some solid contribution on the topic…

First, a woman’s blood must be ample, nutritionally and hormonally healthy, and flowing unimpeded throughout the body and, in particular, the uterus. Second, her Chi needs to be flowing smoothly in all her organs, muscles and channels (including the uterus). Third, her mental and emotional energy system needs to be balanced in such a way that a woman trying to conceive, is enhancing her overall health versus burdening her overall health.

Whew, that’s a mouthful. And what does it all mean? Well, let’s look at each piece individually.

Ample, nutritionally and hormonally healthy as well as, Flowing Unimpeded throughout the body Blood: In Chinese Medicine we refill our tank daily with energy or life force, via our food, drink and breath. We must sleep at night in order to repair, rebuild, regenerate and rejuvenate our entire system. This repair work requires a foundation of nourishment that we supply ourselves each day.

One of our energy systems in Chinese Medicine, The Earth System which includes the organs Spleen/Pancreas and Stomach, is responsible for receiving the food and drink we ingest, breaking it down into usable nourishment for the blood (called transformation in TCM), and then transporting nutrients, via the blood, to our entire body. Optimal function of our body can only be as good as the quality and quantity of the food we eat. Quality refers to how healthy, vital and nutrient-rich the food we eat is. Quantity refers to the eating of food in proper portions. If we eat too little, we become deficient in nutrients. If we eat too much, our system becomes burdened in having to deal with the excess that cannot be transported or is unusable, for example excess sugar. If either deprivation of necessary nutrients, or over-burden becomes the norm, our system suffers greatly.

If deprived or over-burdened, at night, during rebuilding and regenerating, our system is mostly trying to keep up with robbing “Peter to pay Paul,” or figuring out what to do with the excess and repairing the breakdown in our system from the excess. This is quite a wasteful expenditure of our energy when we need our energy available each day and night for the important job of keeping our organs, tissues, hormones, and cells operating healthfully.

If misuse of our energy goes on over time, our soil may become infertile. We absolutely need healthy blood on a regular basis and we need this rich, nourished blood flowing throughout the uterus. When our blood becomes tired, lacks oxygen, or is nutritionally deficient, it can become sluggish, slow down and even stagnate. This means our smooth flow of blood is compromised, thus compromising fertility.

Enough Chi flowing smoothly in all organs, muscles and channels (including the uterus): Chi is a Chinese word for life force, or energy, or molecular energy. It is what we are made of in that, if we have no Chi, we have no life force. Simple stated, when we are born we have a full tank of Chi, and when the tank is empty, we die. While alive and during the reproductive years, it makes sense that in order to create a new life inside of you, you must have a reasonable life force yourself.  If you don’t have enough Chi or life force in your own system, where do you think the Chi will come from to create a new life for 9 mos.?  Nature, and infinite wisdom, just knows that if a woman’s Chi tank is too low, then reproduction falls below the line of possibility. It’s a no-brainer, in that, for a fetus to grow it needs a certain amount of Chi and blood.

Mental and emotional energy systems need to be balanced in such a way that a woman trying to conceive, is enhancing her overall health versus burdening her overall health: Thoughts and emotions are as much Chi as your elbow or liver is. They are just a more subtle form of Chi. Much like the wind, in that, we don’t “see” wind, but it exists because we see the effects of wind even though it is invisible. This more subtle form of Chi, like our thoughts and emotions, are just as important as the food we eat. Every time we think a thought or have an emotion, there is literally a chemical reaction in our body. To put it in simple terms, the by-product of these chemical reactions are either toxic and thus, burdensome to our system; or the by-product of these chemical reactions align with optimal functioning of our system.

When I teach a woman to observe herself in this more subtle form of Chi, it is often surprising to her that she is much more plagued with thoughts of fear, worry, or depression, in relation to her fertility, than she realized consciously. Some of it she was aware of, but the extent of it is more the eye-opener. The chemical by-product of these thoughts and emotions over a prolonged period of time, become burdensome to the system, contributing to a decreased flow of Chi and Blood. It requires practice to become aware, and then become intentional about our choice of thoughts.

“Ingredients,” or choices, are either enhancing or inhibiting our fertile soil. Either our fertility switch is ‘on’ or ‘off.’  No woman purposely turns her fertility switch off, but, unknowingly, she could be making choices, day after day, that are preventing optimal and fertile soil. Start where you’re at and begin making the best choices you can in order to fertilize your soil in such a way that pregnancy and healthy birth are a natural outcome.

Larger than Words

Now, it’s your turn to go beyond the ordinary and make words larger than itself. Make it reverberate in the senses to linger more. Feel it, sense it. There is no other way you can seize it better than have it in an exceptional way.

Nothing compares to conveying the right message, at the right time, right manner with the right person. Chances are you will be flabbergasted by its momentum or enchanted by the aftermath. One way of conveying the right message is through postcards.

Postcard printing services have gone a long way since its inception. It has already introduced several innovations such as its modern counterpart – e-postcards. E-postcards discovery gives you the opportunity to send an instant message to a multitude. Unlike printed postcards, e-postcards take no less than seconds to process. There are also a number of ready-made templates to choose from. That way, you will no longer worry about time and money.

Printed postcards, on the other hand, have become famous in the year 1990. Then, they were basically used to send simple messages like hi’s and hello’s. Nowadays, a new valuable contribution has been discovered. Postcards are now used as an important marketing tool.

With this discovery, what do you think is the reason why people are still sticking with the traditional postcards – those that are printed?  There are several reasons why printed postcards are still hot regardless of the alternatives present. Pictures, images and texts are brighter, crispier and clearer, that is. It captures the reality in a not so real crossing point. Handing the message personally is warmer than just opening the same in your inbox. What can you ask for? It is already a complete dish of mesmerizing message plus momentous memories. That’s how amazing postcard printing services can be.

Wow your friends and potential customers. The next time you want to earn more traffic to your site, promote a product or a service or simply express yourself, postcard printing services can do the trick better. You will never regret its enigmatic charm!

Negative Aspects Of Online Advertising

While there are a host of benefits for companies and websites that choose to advertise via the Internet, there are many negative facets to online advertising as well. These aspects include advertising activities that many deem immoral or even illegal. Such things as Spyware and Adware, commonly referred to as malware, can have detrimental effects on your computer and should be avoided at all costs if possible. Much of this malware is actually viewed and obtained via activity on unsafe websites. Fortunately using the security settings on your computer can allow you to block such websites from being visited.

Essentially adware is an application of sorts which, when come into contact with, can modify your computer system's settings. It is through this modification that your computer is harmed. While there is an extensive variety of this type of damaging adware and spyware programs, the most common of which is perhaps the Trojan. Trojan applications are designed in such a way that once they infiltrate the surface of your computer's inner workings they can become extremely difficult to remove. Many people have written procedures on the Internet trying to explain how to rid your computer of the Trojan, sadly though many of these simply do not work. If you are a well educated individual when it comes to the removal of adware and spyware programs and methods of protecting against infiltration, you are certainly in luck.

If, however, you are not so skilled when it comes to computers and you find yourself directed to an unsafe website, you may be in some trouble. Of course, you may never come across any dangerous adware while visiting such a site but, it is important to keep in mind that this malware can affect your computer in a matter of seconds if you happen to be once again redirected to another less safe website.

Printing’s Lingo

To have the tongue of the pros in printing is indispensable to understand what they are trying to convey. Another reason is for you to take advantage of the printing techniques, materials and everything that concerns printing.

Are you a person who often runs out of words when talking to the prepress staff or a printer representative? Do you always search for the right words? Well, you can do something about it by improving your printing vocabulary and speak the lingo.

To help you begin, here are the critical terms in both prepress and printer:

Prepress terms:

Bleed - the amount of spare space necessary when ink runs of the page edge.

Finished size – refers to the final size of the print item after it has been folded, trimmed and ready for distribution.

Line Screen – refers to the number of rows of dots per inch.

Lineup – includes all images that must line up together once the piece is folded or collated. This includes images from all the pages.

Page Count – the number of pages in a book once folded and bound. A sheet, for instance, can make two pages when folded.

Plus Cover – when another material for the cover is used other than the material in the inside pages.

Process – this is otherwise known as CMYK or full color printing. The printing process where cyan, magenta, yellow and black are used to formulate other colors.

Self cover - when same material in the inner pages is used as cover.

Portable Printer terms:

Inkjet printer – this kind of printer sprays tiny droplets of ink to form images.

Resolution – is the level of detail printable by a printer. The level can be indicated by dots per inch (dpi).

Thermal printing – is a printing technology that utilizes heat to print. In this technology, ink and ribbons are dispensed with.

Thermal transfer – is a printing technique that utilizes heat to transfer texts and images from a ribbon. Fusion printing is the other term for thermal transfer printing. It does not necessitate special paper.

Understanding printing terms is important in order to get or convey accurate details of the printing job including the materials and price. Lack of it may cost you a lot. It may mean waste of effort, time and money.

Conquering the Effects of Aging

No one looks forward to wrinkles, low energy and other effects of aging on the body.

When searching for their "fountain of youth," the biggest mistake that people make is buying an anti-

aging cream and calling it a day. But the key to delaying the effects of aging is to change your lifestyle.

According to the National Institute on Aging, exercising regularly is the first step in fighting the effects of aging. Exercise helps you maintain healthy bones and joints, control weight, improve your mood and strengthen your muscles. Experts say that exercise also conditions the skin to make collagen, the support fibers that help keep wrinkles and lines under control.

The National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion suggests eating a balanced diet that's low in saturated fats and contains at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Also, more doctors are stressing the importance of taking a supplement to reduce the signs and symptoms of aging.

For example, Revive, from the "Spray" line of sublingual sprays, was developed by doctors to help prevent or reduce sleeplessness, low energy, poor muscle/fat balance, poor skin elasticity and low libido. It is able to provide relief of these symptoms of aging by restoring the body's endocrine system functions, which are instrumental in regulating mood, tissue function and other internal activity.

Recent study results show that Revive starts to work immediately after use. According to Gwen Sconears, 70, of Gridley, Calif., the spray even helped her 45-year-old son, Randy Molanari, who suffers from a debilitating disease.

"My son has severe muscular dystrophy and has noticed significant improvement in his muscular pain and improvement in his energy level. After seeing my son's results with Revive, I began taking the product as well. Not only do I feel great with less back pain, people have told me that I look much younger," she said.

Abdominoplasty Prices

Abdominoplasty, known as a tuck, is a very common cosmetic procedure. If you are interested in potentially having the surgery, you need to know the typical prices.

Abdominoplasty Prices

Losing weight is the perennial battle as we grow older. It is the lucky soul who does not naturally gain weight as the years pass. Exercise and diet are undoubtedly the best way to attack this inevitable process, a fact repeated in the media and literature over and over. The problem, of course, is who has time given the hectic pace of life?

An abdominoplasty is one option for battling the bulge. The costs of the procedures, however, may come as a bit of a shock if you aren’t aware of them going in. The prices tend to be a bit high given the nature of the procedure.

While abdominoplasty is the name used for most cosmetic abdominal surgeries, there is not one procedure as suggested. In truth, procedures range from full tucks to mini-tucks and so on. The difference is purely a matter of what you are trying to achieve. As you might guess, a full tuck is going to take longer, which results in a higher price. Mini-tucks are more isolated and less expensive given the time in question.

Abdominoplasty prices vary greatly depending on a number of other practical issues. The location of the tuck procedure is going to have an impact, to wit, Beverly Hills surgeons charge much more than surgeons in Oklahoma City. Further, there seems to be a direct correlation between the number of times the surgeon has been on television and the price. If you must have a celebrity surgeon, you are going to pay for it.

In general, the cost of a full abdominoplasty will range from $4,000 to $7,000 dollars. Mini tucks will run as much as half of this figure, but the specific cost is entirely dependent upon what is being done.

Abdominoplasty prices can cause serious sticker shock when you first get an estimate. Remember, health insurance rarely pays for plastic surgery.

A Beautiful Complexion Is More Than Skin Deep

When you see someone with beautiful skin, that person radiates good health and vitality. Usually, that kind of radiance requires more than just slathering on any old facial product.

A healthy lifestyle and great skin-care habits produce glowing, youthful-looking skin. So what you put in your body is equally as important as what you put on it.

Here are some tips for naturally gorgeous skin.

* Maintain a balanced diet. Consuming too much refined food, such as sugar, can drain the body of essential vitamins and minerals. This, in turn, encourages wrinkles and premature aging. Eat foods that are rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, such as fruits, vegetables and fish. Also, drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

* Exercise. Working out brings more oxygen to your skin cells, leaving you with skin that's nourished and more firm. Exercise also helps reduce stress. Studies show that too much stress can potentially aggravate skin conditions, such as acne and hives.

* Find natural skin care products. The most revolutionary skin-care products today merge nature with science. For example, the new Nature's Gate Organics Advanced Skin Care line takes the best that Mother Nature has to offer and combines those ingredients with formulations that are scientifically proven to benefit the skin.

Nature's Gate Organics' Oh What a Night, a cream that hydrates skin overnight using walnut seed extract and European beech tree buds, shields against early visible signs of aging. Have a Vine Day, a day cream that contains chardonnay grape seed extract, helps tired-looking skin look visibly lifted and smoother. And Forget Your Lines, a wrinkle diffuser serum that works like natural Botox, helps to de-stress skin.

* Protect your skin from harsh rays. Exposure to the sun can cause premature aging and skin discoloration, increasing your risk of skin cancer. Apply sunscreen daily and wear a brimmed hat whenever possible.

A Brief Overview Of Baby Acne

Small babies may develop acne because of the lingering maternal hormones after delivery, which may cause stimulation to the baby's sebaceous glands. Your baby receives these hormones from the placenta, after the delivery.

Don't worry if your baby has pimples. About 20% of the newborn babies are affected by baby acne, also known as acne-neonatorum.

Let’ know the various aspects of this peculiar type of acne. First things first, the treatment for infantile acne is not the same as that of acne treatment for any other age group.

Infantile acne is gender-biased. Male babies are more affected than their female counterparts. Normally babies have the acne attack at the age of 3 weeks. Some babies have it from the time of delivery. Generally the types of acne you find in infants are papules and pustules. Papules are red bumps and pustules are whiteheads. They have a collection of pus.

Some babies also have acne on the scalp. Acne in babies does not require treatment as such. The lesions will take care of themselves within a period of four months. But do take the normal care of the baby as you would take care of its other body parts.

Use mild baby soap and gently clean the face once in a day with water. Do not try harsher methods by using oil and other lotions which you think are good. They may at times, worsen the condition. Know for certain that infantile acne will disappear when it has to.

In your anxiety to photograph the baby, don't stuff his/her cheeks with cosmetics and if at all you need to have the touch-ups, do it in an imaginative way.

If you or your family doctor feel that the baby has severe acne, treat it with benzoyl peroxide, keratolytic agents or topical creams like retinoids.

The ways of acne are indeed mysterious. If you have a family history of acne, that doesn't mean that your baby will have acne. And just because the baby has acne, it doesn't mean that, it will suffer from the attack of acne, when it grows up. Acne has its own working style and attacking strategy.

Infantile acne, which normally appears after the age of three months in a baby, quietly disappears after the age of 12 months. No special efforts of treatment are required. In some babies, the condition may last up to three years. It is due to the genetic makeup of your baby. You have something to contribute to it, as the hereditary part.

You have nothing to do with the infantile acne, relating to the treatment part. Just observe its arrival and departure. Well, arrival with anxiety and departure with pleasure!

Take Control of Your Health

In large part, you’re in control of your health, not your doctor. And taking control of your health doesn’t really depend on whether or not you have medical conditions.

Taking control means developing habits and discipline.

The most important thing you can do is educate yourself. Learn about your health problems and how you can take care of your body. What do the latest studies say? The Internet is an excellent place to research health issues. Sometimes just finding different ways of doing things can help.

Now, take the time to decide what your health goals for the next year will be. Write the goal(s) down. Some examples of goals might be:

- to stop yo-yo dieting and focus on get healthier.

- to start exercising regularly.

- to move toward my perfect weight.

- to find alternative ways to control diabetes.

Then list specific ways you can accomplish these goals. For instance, try a new healthy dinner recipe once a week, go to the gym five days a week, or research nutrition on the Internet 10 minutes a day.

Work on your mind and thought patterns. You have to believe that you can become healthy and reach your ideal weight before you will be able to do so. Learning to accept what you can’t change, but striving to change what you can, is key. A large part of succeeding in health improvement is being comfortable with yourself to begin with.

Find time to do something good to reward yourself for making this commitment to improve your health. Reward yourself each week as you find yourself accomplishing your goals.

If you have another person to work with, you will be more successful in meeting your health goals. This partner should be someone you can trust to share your feelings with.

It helps to have a partner for accountability. We work harder when we know someone is watching us and holding us accountable. A good partner also helps us stay realistic in our goals and challenges us to grow.

Try to find someone who will encourage you in the down times and celebrate your successes with you as you accomplish your goals. And of course you need to be that kind of a partner to your friend in return.

You might consider forming an informal support group with some of your friends or acquaintances. People who belong to a group with mutual interests and a shared purpose accomplish more. A group might get together weekly or monthly and discuss progress or concerns and help encourage each other. Sometimes all a person might need is another opinion or just a little encouragement to help them get past a place where they are having problems. Even if you are doing great, perhaps you could be of help to someone else who is struggling.

Communication is important when putting together a group. Set up a regular time and method to report progress to each other and stick to it. Set realistic benchmarks to monitor your progress. Reward yourselves for your effort. Do something fun as a group once in a while.

There can be great rewards in working with others toward common goals. It makes the journey more enjoyable as well as more productive.

Manage High Blood Pressure Naturally

In Chinese Medicine, many of the symptoms of high blood pressure, such as pounding headaches, dizziness, and pressure behind the eyes are often related to a pattern of Liver Yang Rising or Liver Heat. It is important to see a physician for proper diagnosis and supervision of high blood pressure, but acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine may also be useful for managing your condition. Certain herbs have been shown to have an anti-hypertensive effect. Certain other herbs have been shown to be useful for controlling cholesterol levels and improving cardiovascular function. Acupuncture has been shown to have a general relaxing effect which can be useful in stress related or essential hypertension. In addition, certain points are commonly used in the treatment of patterns that relate to high blood pressure.

One commonly used herb for symptoms and patterns related to high blood pressure is Tian Ma or gastrodia rhizome. Research in China has shown it to be useful in the treatment of symptoms related to high blood pressure such as dizziness, numbness of extremities, tinnitus, headaches, and pain behind the eyes. It may have a sedative and tranquillizing effect. It has been shown to have usefulness for renal hypertension and essential hypertension. Another useful herb is Ye Ju Hua or chrysanthemum flower, which has been shown to have a prolonged effect of lowering blood pressure through peripheral vessel dilation. It has also been shown to increase blood flow to the heart. Another herb that is used to clear Liver Heat and is commonly used to treat eye problems that may be beneficial for high blood pressure is Xia Ku Cao or prunella. Chinese research has shown that it has a moderate vasodilating effect. These herbs are often used in combination by practitioners of Oriental Medicine in the treatment of patterns related to high blood pressure.

Other herbs may be useful for improving heart and circulatory function. They may also help reduce cholesterol. Shan Zha, or hawthorn berries, have been shown to reduce cholesterol when taken for six weeks or more. It is often used in China to improve circulation and to treat angina pectoris. Another herb that is commonly used in China for cardiovascular problems is Dan Shen, or Salvia. It has also been shown to reduce cholesterol. It also may improve microcirculation in the body. In China, pills of Dan Shen are used in the treatment of angina and in the treatment of coronary heart disease. It also may help promote repair and regeneration of tissues by increasing the body’s metabolism.

Certain acupuncture points are also known to be useful in the treatment of patterns related to high blood pressure. Large Intestine 4 is a point that many people know can help to control headaches. It is on the back side of the hand in between the thumb and index finger. It is also commonly used point for blood pressure related patterns. Another point at the vertex of the head, Du 20, is also commonly used. An acupuncturist or Chinese herbalist always takes an inventory of symptoms, along with looking at a person’s tongue and feeling a person’s pulse in order to determine the specific combination of points and herbs that a person needs. Different people with high blood pressure are treated differently depending on the pattern they present.

During my time in China, I did clinical rounds in the cardiology department at the Chengdu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. Modern drugs and diagnostic equipment were used hand in hand with Chinese herbs and acupuncture in order to treat conditions such as high blood pressure, angina pectoris, cardiac arrhythmias, heart enlargement, and stroke. I even saw Chinese herbs, such as Dan Shen, being given in intravenous and in injectable form. The conditions were diagnosed using modern science and traditional Chinese diagnosis. Drugs were used for symptom control and for emergencies. As people’s condition improved with the use of Chinese herbs and acupuncture, their doctors slowly adjusted the dosage of drugs that they received. The results I saw were better than either form of medicine could have achieved alone. We do not have the benefit of experiencing such a deep synthesis of modern medicine and ancient techniques yet in the West. Nevertheless, I believe that as people learn more about the benefits of Asian medicine, we may someday come close to achieving a more integrated system of care in the West that will be more clinically effective, more cost effective, and result in fewer side effects.

Constipation and Natural Remedies

There are two types of constipation, organic and functional. Organic constipation is a result of some physical change, obstruction, or distortion in your colon. This type of constipation needs immediate attention from a doctor. We do not cover constipation that occurs from these reasons.

Functional constipation is a result of not following a proper diet, drinking the proper fluids, having good emotional health, and not having the proper lifestyle that promotes good movement of digested foods through the intestines and colon.

Even though there are many conditions, symptoms and definitions describing constipation, constipation simple is,

A condition where the fecal matter traveling through your colon remains too long in your colon before traveling out the rectum.

Constipation is a symptom that tells you your colon is not working properly or you have some underlying gastrointestinal disease you are not aware of.

Constipation is a warning your diet and lifestyle can be leading to some illness or disease in the future. It is a symptom that many people ignore or it is a symptom that many people try to eliminate by using unnatural dangerous laxatives.

Laxatives are probable the worst product you can use when you have constipation. They can become habit-forming if used too long and have some nasty side effects. They have a tendency to create the problem you are trying relieve – constipation.

It is important to use only natural remedies for constipation so you don’t continue to upset the natural balance and function of your colon. As you begin to apply some of these remedies, keep in mind that one particular remedy does not work for every person. You may have to make some changes to some of these remedies, such as increasing dosage, adding substances, or trying different substances.

The remedies you choose to use will depend on specific herbs, foods, or nutrients you have, you can buy locally, you can buy on the Internet, nutrients you prefer, or you can afford.
Experimenting is part of how you find out what is best for you.

Keep in mind that all remedies you should only be used only for a short time, two to four days and not longer than 2 weeks. They should only be used for the time needed to clear your constipation. Sometimes this might just be one or two times.

There are some herbal combinations you can use longer. These combinations can improve the health of your colon and get your bowels moving.

If you have constipation, I can tell you now the natural balance and function of your colon has been affected. But natural remedies can bring you back into balance.

Premature Ejaculation

Most men have experienced the problem of premature ejaculation at some time in their life. Premature ejaculation is one of the most common sexual problems. Premature ejaculation is explained as a condition where in a person is unable to delay ejaculation to a point when it is mutually desirable for both the partners. That means ejaculation occurs before a man wants it to happen. Some men ejaculate during foreplay while some do so at the very entry itself.

But few men feel that 5 or 10 minutes time to have orgasm is not enough and they feel that this is also premature ejaculation. This suggests premature ejaculation is most likely psychological in origin than physiological. The exact cause of premature ejaculation is still unknown.

Ayurveda has said Kshiprumunchati Shukram....... this means the person will have Premature ejaculation when vata in his body aggravates and leads to a very quick ejaculation of shukra (semen).

The probable causes for premature ejaculation:

Anxiety during the first experience of sex. Some men will develop
a longer-term anxiety toward sex, which can cause a prolonged experience
with premature ejaculation.

A long period of abstinence from sex.

Younger men tend to ejaculate more quickly than older men, as
experience seems to be associated with ejaculatory control.

Depression or anxiety about poor sexual performance

Anxiety due to anticipation of Rejection by partner.

Anticipation of failure to satisfy his partner

Anticipation of pain

Adverse experiences with sex in childhood

Religious beliefs

Financial burdens

Job stress

Relationship problems

Side effects of some prescription drugs

Apart from psychological causes some physiological causes like inflammation of prostate gland or spinal chord problems may cause premature ejaculation.

According to ayurveda when vayu gets vitiated it causes premature ejaculation. The following causes vitiates vata

Consuming stale, spicy, cold and junk food (Men who are away from
home on business mostly consume this sort of food )

staying up for long hours at night .

long gap between meals

Controlling natural urges (this happens during long corporate
meetings)

Physical and mental exertion.

Under nourishment due to worries and grief

Sitting for long hours in uncomfortable chairs.

Traveling at high speeds.

Prevention:

Seek psychotherapy to maintain a healthy attitude towards sex.

Do not blame yourself for premature ejaculation. Anybody can
experience premature ejaculation.

Speak openly with your partners to avoid misunderstanding and
miscommunication.
Use some relaxation techniques to reduce stress.

Have full knowledge about sex

Try to minimize the above said causative factors.

Simple Remedies

Many techniques are used to control premature ejaculation. “The squeeze technique” is popular and effective amongst all. Squeeze technique is a behavioral therapy. If a man senses that he is about to experience premature ejaculation, he interrupts sexual relations. Then the man or his partner squeezes the shaft of his penis between a thumb and two fingers applying gentle pressure just below the head of the penis for 20 seconds. And then sexual relations can be resumed. The technique can be repeated as often as necessary. When this technique is successful, it enables the man to learn to delay ejaculation with the squeeze, and eventually, to gain control over ejaculation without the squeeze.

The Masters  & Johnson method:

The best way to combat premature ejaculation is by learning to
control the sensations prior to orgasm. This method takes time and
practice, but it is very effective.

First you need to bring yourself close to orgasm (this can be
done via masturbation, without the involvement of your partner) and then
stop and relax before recommencing. Each time you need to bring yourself
closer to orgasm until finally you cannot control it. If you do this
often enough, you will learn where your point of climax is. This is
helpful when interacting with your partner.

You will need to practice reaching your climax point with your
partner by engaging in non-penetrative sex so that when you feel it is
near, you signal them to stop and you allow your erection to subside.
This also needs to be repeated so that you and your partner are familiar
with the procedure.

Once you feel you are ready for intercourse, it is best to start
by lying on your back so that you can guide your partner during
penetration. When you are near orgasm, give your partner a signal to stop
and you should relax and start again. Once you get the hang of it (it may
take several weeks or months), premature ejaculation shouldn’t be too
much of a problem.

A variant of this method involves the partner squeezing the tip
of the penis just before orgasm ("squeeze technique"). This pushes blood
out of the penis and reduces the erection.

Foot Massage

Foot massage or foot reflexology has a Chinese origin.  It dates back to more than 3,000 years ago and is used in the prevention and cure of many health ailments.

Some in fact say, foot massage dates back to ancient Eygyptian times due to archaeological findings in cave drawings in Egypt.

The principle of foot massage rests in the premise that the meridian network connects all tissues, organs and cells in our body. Each organ in the body is connected to a specific reflex point on the foot through the intermediary of 300 nerves. A trained foot reflexologist can put pressure on different meridians or energy lines on the sole and side of the feet to determine the cause of illness.

By using pressure to these the reflex points, the foot massage is good for stimulating the activity internal organs, and to improve blood and lymph circulation.  Thus, the top to bottom well being of a person can be made through the foot.

The principles of foot massage is not in congruence with western allopathic medicine.  Western medicine merely sees the foot as a body part comprising of bones, ligaments and joints.

However, foot massage is fast gaining much popularity and acceptance as an alternative health treatment.  Fans of foot massage believe it can cure not only colds and minor ailments, but more serious ailments as well. These ailments include liver dysfunction, constipation problems, chronic headaches, skin allergies, etc.

Like most Oriental medical techniques, foot reflexology is a “holistic” treatment.  It concentrates on treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms of one particular ailment.

While Western medicine promises speedy recovery of all unpleasant symptoms, foot massage therapy can be slow and gradual.  A series of visits is necessary to strengthen the body and to bring the body back to balance.

A session of foot reflexology in San Francisco, can set you back as much as US$40-100.  Thus, foot massages over a period of time, can add up in terms of costs.

However, for practitioners and believers of foot massage, the cost for good health is well worth it.  The alternative would have been money spent in clinics and western hospitals for prescription drugs and perhaps, invasive surgery.

Aromatherapy & Massage

Have you ever wondered what your life would be like if you lacked the ability to smelling. Sure, it whitethorn not seem as difficult as trying to navigate a room while blindfolded, or attempting to perform daily tasks without using your thumbs, but you would still be missing a lot. For one thing, your common sense of taste would go come out of the closet the window, too. For another, your brain is wired to interpret signals from your olfactory center to tell you what pleasures or hazards English hawthorn be lurking in your surroundings.

In fact, you could say that much of what you know about the world, and how you relate to it, depends on your good sense of olfactory property. Olfaction is the only gumption fully developed at birth in humans, and it plays an important role in an infant's ability to recognize and bond with his or her mother. Even the "chemistry" felt between two adults Crataegus laevigata be prompted by aroma. Scientists rich person identified substances called pheromones in human consistency olfactory property that act as chemical messengers to the brain to stimulate, among other responses or behaviors, sexual attraction to a potential mate.

With at least 5 million odor-sensing cells lining the nasal bone passages, the nozzle seems to be well-equipped to observe smells on its own. Merely, approximately scientists speculate that, like other animals, citizenry Crataegus oxycantha also wealthy person a os nasale sensory device known as a vomeronasal organ that helps them to find these subtle fragrance molecules. There's little doubt that certain odors tin give birth a direct impact on the way we think and feel. The odour of freshly baked bread, for example, May conjure up fond memories of home and hearth. Other scents, such as floral or spicy aromas, induce a romantic mood.

So recognized is this impression that many European and Asian facilities ar investing in "indirect perfuming" to enhance productivity in the workplace and to promote recovery in hospitals. Are Alternative Medicines Effective?

A growing number of people have become interested in alternative medicine to treat illnesses. Alternative medicine as a practice has created a significant amount of controversy both inside and outside the traditional medical field. Alternative medicine refers to a treatment or substance that is unproven under the application or accepted scientific standards. The most common types of alternative medicine include herbs, supplements, therapies and activities that are outside traditional medical practice. Some of these raise questions about their safety and effectiveness.

Acupuncture, massage, meditation, herbal tea, and plant extracts are popular among devotees of alternative medicine, but many traditional doctors believe these treatments are ineffective or even dangerous. Alternative medicine has become increasingly popular as more people face the aches, pains, and illnesses that accompany aging. In some cases, individuals have not obtained a cure with traditional medical approaches and turn to other options to treat their illness. In still other cases, people feel very strongly that natural methods of treatment are better than traditional medicine, so they look for answers from alternative practitioners instead of the family doctor.

There are risks associated with alternative medicine. Some of the risks arise through the use of untested, ineffective, and even unsafe substances. The manufacturers of these substances sometimes exaggerate the claims of their effectiveness. They may misrepresent the science related to the material to convince consumers to buy the product, even if its use can endanger a person’s health.

Some herbal remedies are advertised as being able to improve memory, raise metabolism, or cure cancer and heart disease. In reality, the remedies may cause harm if taken at high doses. Another risk is that someone with a serious disease like cancer will not receive traditional and proven treatments, preferring to use alternative methods that may not be effective. In these cases, people are risking their lives. Sometimes, patients may be using alternative treatments, but not telling their doctors about them. This can lead to dangerous drug interactions. If a traditional doctor is unaware of the substance a patient is taking, medications that produce harmful interactions may be unknowingly prescribed.

It is possible to recognize potentially risky alternative treatment. If a treatment sounds too good to be true, it probably is. While this is a cliché, it is often very true in situations involving alternative medicines. Be careful of products labeled ‘miraculous’ or ‘ancient remedy.’ If you are thinking about treatments such as acupuncture or reflexology, check the qualifications of the practitioner before being treated. Ask about the training received, and research the treatment to determine if it has been scientifically tested and found to be effective.

It’s a good idea to ask your doctor about an alternative treatment you are considering. Trained medical professionals have the experience and education to help you make safe decisions about your health.

Easy Ways To Relief Headache

Having headache is annoying and sometimes it is difficult for us to avoid. Mostly when we are under pressure, headache appeared automatically. If it gets worse, we might faint due to the pain we felt.

A headache is a condition of mild to severe pain in the head. It can also attack at our upper back or neck. There are different types of headache, but most of the time headache brought on by stress, too long in front of computer, noise and others.

One of the main causes of headache is tension in the muscles of the neck, scalp and jaw. We usually deal with it by taking some sleep or consume over-the counter aspirin to release our pain. However, can we do this at any place?

Obviously, we cannot sleep at the office or at the mall. In addition, we might run of aspirin when headache strike us.

Do not worry! The easiest way to handle headache and we can do it everywhere is through massage. Massage is the practice of applying pressure or vibration to the soft tissues of the body, to heal injury, relieve psychological stress, manage pain, improve circulation and relieve tension.

When we suffer from headache, we can help ourselves with self-massage. Simple and everybody can do it, either at work or home.

Here are four easy ways in massage to heal our headache.

1. Eyes Area Massage -- Close your eyes. Place your middle fingers to your eyes that are above cheekbones. Massage that area gently but firmly in circular motion for 1 minute,

2. Eyes to Nose Massage – Using thumb, go along the underside of eyebrows (along the bone on top of eye socket). Feel where this bone meets the bridge of your nose and eyes and find a point where there is a small indentation. Very gentle pressure, press your thumbs into the points. You can do it four times by holding and press that area for 10 seconds in each press.

3. Neck Massage -- Massage a point where you can feel it by moving the middle fingers of your hands to the back of your head and feel the base of your skull. Specially, at the tops of your neck that meets the base of your skull. Massage for a minutes using finger tips gentle in circular movement.

4. Scalp Massage – Let your palms of your hands massage your scalp on the top of your skull for a minute gently.

Once you have done all those massages, start taking a deep breath. Lift your shoulders towards your ears for five to 10 seconds to relief remaining pain, and then let them drop back down into their natural position.

You are going to feel better when you can do that for a couple of times. Your massage will relief your headache and your head will feel less weighty.
